They burn your fingers when you peel them.

@janbb And don’t forget and rub your eyes later! Voice of experience.

I love them. I make a great pumpkin soup with Scotch bonnet peppers.

Wear gloves when working with them because the oils stay in your hands and even after you washed your hands you can still get them in your eyes and other places if you rub.

They’re Red Hot, some of them were in Point Break.

I can handle them, but the morning after is the worst.

Gentlemen, do not cook with chillis then go to pee without first washing your hands VERY thoroughly.

Psh, I use chili peppers to polish my sword all the time.

They can make you gasp and take away your ability to talk. Approach them carefully.

Here are just a few that we picked from our garden last year. My husband dried them and made his own chili powder that is still sitting in a jar in our refrigerator. Every time I open the jar to use some I end up sneezing and my eyes water. It makes the best pot of chili and I also use it to season taco meat.

Ummmmm, years ago, my ex was cooking with hot peppers, and even though he’d washed his hands there was some residual spice on his fingers when we started fooling around later. That killed the mood really quick!

^haha. That happened to my husband and I after I was cutting peppers for dinner. He didn’t mind the sensation though. tmi
