If you could resurrect any tv show to get a proper conclusion, what would you bring back?
So many great shows have been cancelled over the years before their time. A lot of them I’d be ok with ending if only things were tied up at the end instead of left hanging for the next season that never came.
What show would you want to come back for a couple episodes so you could see that final conclusion?

The clone wars comes to mind—the animated Star Wars series killed off when Disney acquired the IP.
@gorillapaws I’m still upset about that one, hands down one of my favorite animated shows. On the upside there are still somewhere around 6 completed episodes that will (probably) be released when they release S5 DVDs.
Here are clips from the 2 arcs that they will be doing.
Stargate Universe. Minus the angst and drama.
I forgot to answer for myself, I’d love to see Samurai Jack come back. I was watching it last night which inspired this question. Such a great show, wins an Emmy and then CN cancels it. I just want to see Jack beat “AKUUUUU!!!!” damn it :P
House. And possibly Lie to me, because even though I haven’t seen all the episodes yet, I don’t want it to be over so soon…
Another vote for Firefly.
And yet another vote for Firefly.
I have to mention my beloved Firefly also. But one that really bugged me that they did not end it at all properly was Journeyman..
I’ve never seen Firefly. Time to catch it on Netflix.
is that the series about those space rednecks?
Twin Peaks!!!
Carnivale
Young Justice
Firefly
3×3 Eyes
@marinelife “Firefly” was nicely wrapped-up in a movie called “Serenity.”
I waited years for some resolution on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.” The final episode left so many open questions and mysteries, presumably for a movie that never happened.
Serenity didn’t really wrap up shit and the stupid inbred stacks of meat killed Wash.
Married with Children, and Invader Zim. Also Bot’s master. Avenger’s Earths Mightiest Hero’s anime. Including Beavis and Butthead and Daria.
I’d love to see Duckman make a comeback. It was an adult cartoon, where there’s this duck who’s a detective. He’s a pervert, always fucks everything up and is really grouchy. But with his cool headed, intelligent pig partner, they always solve everything. It was a cartoon full of crass jokes, potty humor and controversy, least at the time. Duckman also had two kids; a two headed boy named Charles and Mambo, and an older son named Ajax, who was border line mentally retarded. He lived with his sister in law, Bernice, and they hate each other.
While the show was full of jokes and all, it had continuity. Some elements always returned and helped to forge and stabilize the Duckman world.
Duckman was once married to a woman (also a duck) called Beatrice. She was his soft spot. She died, or so we thought, until the very last episode where she appears, then it just ends. Never made any more episodes.
Oh, I almost forgot: the Teen Titans series.
@SadieMartinPaul I liked Serenity as a stand alone, but I didn’t think it was a good ending for Firefly.
I’m baffled that I’m the only person to give this a GQ thus far.
Also, +1 on Firefly.
I second Firefly and Carnivale* and would like to add Pushing Daisies.
*I don’t mind how Carnivale ended as they wrapped up the immediate conflict. But it’s clear they were moving towards something even more epic. I’ve heard the show’s story had been plotted for six seasons. Sad that it got cut if they actually had planned that far ahead. It’s so rare television has that kind of forthought behind it.
@fundevogel ohhh pushing daisies, forgot about that one.
Windfall! Does anybody else remember that show?
Also Paradise Beach, it was an Australian soap opera that only aired for one season in the US. Ingo Rademacher mmmmmmmmm
Rubicon, it was an amazing AMC conspiracy thriller. Then they cancelled it…. FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!
I also wasn’t impressed by Battlestar Galactica’s ending, they left so many loose threads.
Lost (end sucked) & +1 for House.
^^ They made the GI TV movie and they all went home. It ended with them all back on the island. Might have been a prequel to LOST.
Yeah. I remember that one but it was made well after the series was over and everybody just looked so old. I wish they had ended it properly.
@SABOTEUR It’s been years since I watched it (absolutely loved that show, I remember the one ep where he discovered Spiderman and had action figures all over :P) but didn’t The Pretender get a proper ending in a tv movie or something?
@uberbatman If I recall correctly there was a TV movie or two. I don’t remember seeing it or finding out whether Jarod finally escaped the place he was being detained. Worth looking into, huh?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended perfectly EXCEPT for Spike dying. I understand his decision though, he finally did something good.
Frank’s Place
Sports Night
I don’t know about closure…I just want MORE EPISODES.
Six Feet Under had THE BEST CLOSURE, EVER.
