Does heavy use of chiles in food help to curb appetite?
Too lazy to Google. My fingers are so tired . . .

This is an oblique response, but check out the book The End of Overeating. It’s a super quick read and spells out both the food borne sources of overeating (in that modern food is engineered primarily to hit your bliss points so that companies can sell you more food and compete with other companies) and on the brain/body side (in that this shit goes down before you’re able to think about what’s happening and even in spite of your being aware). It also has a research-based prescription for the latter problem that is applicable to any compulsive behavior.
It probably would for me, since it would give me heartburn.
Oh absolutely. Put 10 habaneros in everything and you will stop eating after the first bite.
Really hot makes me want more sour cream, guacamole and beer, so it just adds calories. I eat less of the hot peppers, but more of the coolants, which have more calories.
My partner adores spicy food – cinnamon and chilis. It doesn’t seem to have curbed his appetite in the slightest.
I don’t think so. For about 7 months everything I ate was covered in habanero sauce and I still devoured everything in sight.
