It was bottled on July 2011 and bottle recommends that it is freshest 180 days after that. It is a Kirin beer. 100% Malt

I’m guessing it would be OK. Some manufacturers put the “best by” date on there to encourage people to throw stuff out that’s past the date. The thing is, sometimes, such as with Coke, it doesn’t go bad very fast at all. It’s a scam.
You could buy a bottle of fresh, and compare it to the old one, and you’ll know.
Alcohol kills germs.
And as @snowberry says, the expiration date is an incentive to discard good beer.
Store your beer in the dark. Dump your beer if it tastes skunky.
How could it hurt you?
Worst it might be a little flat or taste a little stale but chill it to the max and you’ll never notice.
Waster beer? That’s alcohol abuse.
It won’t harm you but it might not taste very nice. It may have started turning to vinegar by now. The only way to tell is open it and taste it. If it tastes alright, drink it.
By now, I hope you have enjoyed it completely.
Your only risk was that it might not be as fizzy. In all other ways, it would have been fine. It would not have hurt you.
It may get skunky but it wont kill you. The reason we even have beer is that it kills pathogens.
Drink it or PM me and I will give you my address to send it to.
My three favorite beers are: Bottled, Canned and Kegged.
