Can spam be removed without leaving an additional entry in Activity for you?

Late at night I go through numerous questions and flag the spam, then the next day I have to go through the same questions with the spam removed notice on them. Can’t they just be deleted without leaving a residue behind?

I appreciate that the spam residue stays because when I return to the question post moderation I would think I was crazy if I remembered there being a long ramble spam there, but now it was ghosted like some who displeased Stalin.
