Do you find it unsettling that Mylie Cyrus' male partner in the infamous VMA act has had no aspersions cast on his character?

Or should we be more concerned with what the Western Powers are about to do in Syria?

I find it unsettling that anyone has put this much thought into Miley Cyrus.

Syria? Miley Cyrus? It’s a toss-up!

Miley has done a great job at gaining a lot of media attention. Everyone is talking about her for being a little bit raunchy on stage (I’ve seen far worse from the likes of Madonna and Gaga and was disappointed when I watched the VMA footage only to find that Miley’s performance had totally been blown out of proportion by the media and public) so good on her I say, she certainly knows how to keep herself in the public eye and what’s that old saying, any publicity is good publicity.

It’s not like he made her do that twerking or sticking out her tongue.

We should be more concerned with next week’s Breaking Bad episode

Correct or not, the common notion is that ALL guys sort of like it when a girl invites what was implied in her act.

So his response would be regarded as “typical”. Correct or not. Everybody will have an opinion on that.

So the only distinction is, which girls do that, which ones do not?

I was not there when American, sons and daughters of the Puritans, society made up their little rules of conduct. But they clearly exist.
And they will not change tomorrow. And, right or not, they seem to be vaguely as follows…

Girls who act like Miley Cyrus on the TV show are ‘ho’s.
Girls who show some restraint may not be ‘ho’s.

Don’t shoot me, I am only the messenger.

Plus, we should be very concerned that whatever happens in Syria, it is looking like the President may not bother to get Congressional deliberation and opinion on the matter.

Anyway, not much will happen. The Western Powers have no money. And even if they did, they do not have the moral conviction to do what must be done in order to justify any action at all.

Even the most pro-intervention pundits admit that it will do little to affect the ultimate outcome.

Give Miley a break. She’s Hannah Montana, not Virginia

We can be concerned with more than one thing at a time, can’t we?

I wonder how many of you have young daughters who used to idolized Hannah Montana? My daughter did. My daughter started watching her wholesome show on the Disney Channel when she was 3. This is when we noticed how much our daughter loved to sing. She would stand there and sing along when Hannah sang. She was a fan until the show ended two years ago. Then Hannah disappeared and my daughter started singing along to Taylor Swift, One Direction and classic rock songs from Guitar Hero.

Now we have Miley making an appearance and she’s grinding on a man who is almost old enough to be her father. My daughter thought it was disgusting. Thank gawd! So did I. I think if any of you have young daughters, I’m sure you wouldn’t want them to emulate Miley Cyrus. This type of behavior is a bit more concerning for my family right now than a war in Syria. My daughter won’t be fighting in the war, but she will be out there in the world on her own dealing with boys and men who think Miley’s performance on stage is acceptable behavior in the real world. My daughter is lucky to have parents who will teach her to respect herself and show some class. You can’t really say that for every other young girl out there.

It’s because we all know what she was like before; the huge change is a big factor. If she was always like this, I doubt it would’ve gotten much attention. Robin Thicke wasn’t a child star that people might have seen as a role model the way Miley was. That said, of course the usual sexism of society sees a big problem with women’s public sexual antics but doesn’t give a rat’s ass when men do similar things.

He’s a tool & she’s a wannabe, I could care less, but war should be a concern to all of us.

So you thought the torch-bearers had it in for The Frankenstein Monster, eh? Well, read this about the Miley Cyrus Twerking Backlash and you’ll learn that the big fella with a flat head and bolts in his neck has got nuthin’ on Miley.

By the way, is anyone else already as sick of he words “twerk” and “twerking” as I am?

^me! It’s been added to the Oxford English Dictionary. :(

No.

Should I be? This double standard has deep evolutionary roots and grows well in human societies. Understanding why is a good way to making a double standard a standard all abide by.
