Anyone else feel like the general public has forgotten how to eat with their mouths closed?

Went to a movie tonight, and it felt like the noise of munching popcorn was a show in it of itself. What are your thoughts on this rising epidemic?

Manners and consideration for others seem to have joined the dinosaurs.
When a whole theater full of people are eating there will be noise even if everyone tries to chew as quietly as possible.
It bothers me more in a restaurant or at parties but yeah, it’s nasty & prevalent.

My boss certainly has forgotten. Today’s sound and sight assult was a peach.
Lol sounds like you’re talking about my fiance. I love her to death but my god…. she has this talent to make ANY food a noisy food. I feel like I’m going to be like 80 and she’ll be slurping soup one day and I’ll just snap completely :P
Not really. I’m usually too busy eating to notice other people. Or should I say, I don’t stare at other people as they eat.
As for popcorn eaters, I think it has to do with sharing popcorn. Often people grab a mouth full and pop it in their mouths before the rest spills out of their hands. I know I have been guilty of that. I like the top buttered part and hate getting the dry stuff on the bottom. It’s too expensive for you to get several small ones so you usually get one large for 3 or 4 people to share.
I’ve said many times that the sound of people eating irritates the shit out of me, and I have a plan to move to Africa.
I will take your food away from you if you are unable to keep your mouth closed while you chew.
Haha the sound of chewing even mine used to drive me nuts. Now I mostly eat at home and avoid food gatherings or the food part of them I find it doesn’t bother me so much. Mostly just at work if I take lunches in the break room. Often I wear head phones
I will take that sound over the sound of two people eating each others face, any day! I hate hearing that at the movies. Ugghh!
Get a room. Or another one, someone talking during the movie or people kicking the chairs every few seconds because they can’t stay still.
I’ll take the loud munchers. The speakers are often so loud I don’t notice the munchers.
