You put a message in a bottle and toss it out to sea, that message you wrote in the bottle, what message would it be?
When the bottle comes back to you one day, after traveling over hundreds of miles, you hope the return message will say?

“Beware of run-on sentences”?
^^ Then we know what return message you will get! ROFLMAO
“Do Not Litter. Please Recycle.”
You owe me $0.10 for the deposit.
@gailcalled As much as I didn’t want to lurve that, I did.
Hi Fishy, sorry for leaving garbage in your house! Hope pollution doesn’t kill you!
I thank you for getting this bottle out of the water and so do the fishes.
I’d send out A Noiseless Patient Spider by Walt Whitman. It’s my favorite “you are not alone in the universe” poem. It would be fun to send that on to some future mystery person.
Is there an assumption that the bottle will contain a new message from the last person that found it?
I’d hope it stated who found it – where they live, etc. I’d find that much more interesting than whatever clever bit of writing they might have come up with.
$9,567 return oceanage due.
If it is what I sent, it would say, “I hope you are having a wonderful day. Write soon.”
If it what someone sent to me, it would say, “STOP POLLUTING THE WATER! Have a nice day.”
I get what I deserve for throwing something in the water that can not be eaten.
@dxs I have to do my part. Some would never get to those mansions before it got foreclosed if I did not help them indirectly. If they had to do it 90% out of single questions and answers they might be here for years and get nowhere fast ;-I
I’d write something lame, like…Yaar, matey! No treasure here! Kiss mah booty!
