New haircut, different reactions?

Before my new haircut, I wasn’t that confident but people on the street would look at me, even compliment me saying I’m very pretty. I didn’t feel like it at all though… Now after my new haircut nobody looks at me or compliments me. But I feel much much confident because of the bangs! I don’t even put any makeup on.

My question is, isn’t the prettiness how the face is? I mean, I didn’t ‘change’ much, so how come I got less pretty for everyone around me all of a sudden? Is this common?
