Have you ever thought of running for politics just for fun or to have a job.
I would like to know if it is comparable in terror for running a campaign for a junior high school students executive union or does running more than once remove to fear of self doubt. In other words does running multiple times get easier each time one does it .

Considered it. Found out how much work, knowledge and money it takes and knew, realistically, it wasn’t meant for me. Working for a campaign, however, is definitely a possibility. It’s never too early to start. They love young people who do campaign work. It’s mostly volunteer until you really get into the system.
EVERYTHING gets easier, the more you do it.
I’ve read accounts by at least one stage actor (I can’t recall whom, or I’d give you a link or at least a name) who said that every time he went on stage – every single time – he had stage fright so bad that he’d throw up, and then go on anyway.
I don’t think anyone does that “just for the lulz”; you really have to be kind of driven to do it if it’s that upsetting every time.
I have no desire to keep the hours or face the scrutiny of a politician’s life.
I wouldn’t be prepared for the examination of my personal life. There’s enough crap from my past that would be painful for all involved.
No, I’d never consider running for office.
- It takes a very thick skin to withstand the constant attacks and criticism. Even if someone’s hard-working, sincere, honest, and trying to good things, he/she will always make somebody angry. There are at least two sides to every issue, and it’s impossible to satisfy everyone’s needs and wishes.
- Politicians need to think on their feet and have good answers to unexpected questions. I’m much too introverted for that.
- I’d be very uncomfortable with the open-book life and lack of privacy.
I used to but since I became a ‘boss’ at work I have no desire to take that to any other level.
I can’t think of any job less fun than that. I’d rather flip burgers at MacD’s.
