What, if any, American sitcoms took the risk of making the show without a "laugh track"?

I hope someone did. I would love to check out such a show.

They did with Scrubs and the results were outstanding,
The Office
Parks and Recreation
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Community
Modern Family
you know, all the good shows
@jaytkay Simpsons is actually animation but I get your point. That may be one of the reasons [subconsciously] that I like it.
@jonsblond those are all new shows to me except maybe The Office—I’m more of a thriller watcher [faves are NCIS and Person of Interest, although I like Sherlock and House too]
I used to love Mary Hartman Mary Hartman. And I’d almost like The Big Bang Theory if it wasn’t for the laugh track. I don’t remember if Seinfeld had one. Now I enjoy the humor imbedded in the NCIS shows—there’s quite a bit. One reason I like them so much.
Think I may have seen Scrubs and liked it.
If we’re including cartoons (e.g. Simpsons) I’d add Archer. Even though it’s superficially a spy/action series, it’s really a dysfunctional-office sitcom.
One could claim that the music fills the role of a laugh track in Archer, in a lot of cases the jazzy brass section kicks in with the punch line.
“Mash” began with a laugh track and eventually dropped it. The show vastly improved when the fake, canned laughter went away.
If you want to watch something horrifying, try a sitcom with the laugh track removed.
Example
The first dramedies dropped the laugh track (not for the first time ever, but this became a bit of a trend back in the 80s). I remember The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd being one of the first of these. That was a great show.
I had a few I was going to mention but they all appear to be on @Pachyderm_In_The_Room ‘s link. If you haven’t seen Party Down I highly suggest you check that show out. Absolutely hilarious and underrated show.
The New Girl, one of the most hilarious TV series I have ever seen, laughing like crazy all the time.
@jonsblond All of the shows you’ve listed are (or were) clever and funny. None of them needed a laugh track; viewers were too busy laughing without any prodding and manipulating.
