Can people get over their first love?

Sure it happens to me all the time. You should just give it some time, you will forget.

No, firsts are special, like the first time I took Diploma exams in high school, I still feel bad for not getting good enough marks to get into the University of Alberta.

Of course. Most people don’t stay with their first love (or who they thought was their first love), and most people aren’t hung up on their first love, so the only thing that makes sense is that most people do get over their first love.

Do you ever forget them? Probably not. But that doesn’t mean you’re not “over” them.

Nobody believes this until the time has actually passed, but give yourself twenty plus years and you’ll find you can get over/forget all kinds of things.

Over time the strength of the feeling will diminish, but your first love, like your first car, will always hold a special place in your heart.

It took me 7 years. I compared everyone to him, no one was better or even came close. I was never going to be happy or in love again. Now though, I don’t think it was love. I think it was just because it was a new feeling, that we embrace it more. I surely wasn’t in love like I am now. I will never forget him, the same as I won’t forget other boyfriends.

Yes, I think people definitely can get over their first loves. I have.

It may be hard to get over your first love just because of the newness of feelings that you felt then.
Perhaps it is that newsness that you long for?
This longing will go away when you meet up with a better relationship that will make you feel
like you did the first time.
It is amazing when one forgets the past when someone extraordinary shows up in your life.

That’s why its called first love & it is important feeling to you. You’ll always remember your first love still you haven’t get the other one who loves you more then you, care for you, live for you.
