Not right now, try just before work on a Friday. You get all the bored people throughout the day, the retirees through the day, when people get home they might pop on, and then you should check right after supper.
Since Fluther is international and jellies exist in many time zones, I’d guess that it’s the type and universality of the question that counts more than the time of day or night it’s asked.
Impossible to say, fluther is a global community. Never mind….^^^ he said it all.
This question has been asked in so many forms here that I don’t care to take the time to look, but I remember someone linking a website that tracks the active Fluther users. The busiest day on average was constantly Monday, followed by Tuesday and so on in the business week. The weekends picked up a bit but not as much as the start of the business week.
There isn’t one & besides, many users only answer questions from people they like.
Yeah I know, you couldn’t make that shit up.
I would think the content of the question would matter more than the time posted.
Not that I’m at all analytical… Thanks for the wisdom all!
Seems to be about 11 ET, 8 PT. That seems to be when there is reaction to the morning news.
I think that adding a sensational headline and asking “what do you think” is the best way to gain responses.
Sensational and inspiring!
Something like that? :)
@ucme Is that true? Surely not, that’s so childish….lol
Even controversial posters come through with an interesting Q sometimes.
@KNOWITALL In my time here i’ve had pm’s from pals saying as much.
I think it’s pretty dumb, i’ve answered questions from users who I wouldn’t piss on if they were on fire, it is a Q&A site after all.
@ucme I told one person I wouldn’t respond to anymore Q’s posted about a specific subject because of his comportment and purpose, but otherwise I’m with you, that’s kind of what this is for.
Your phrasing is always amusing—-“who I wouldn’t piss on if they were on fire”- lol
@KNOWITALL I mean, it’s not something i’m going to fall out over, but I definitely don’t agree with the idea. Who cares who asks the bloody question anyway? A thread can develop into an interesting or fun one, where many of your chums can join in.
There doesn’t seem to be a “best time of day,” but it seems one gets a fair amount of answers after at least 24 hours.
