Who wants to play "Name That Bug!"?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47126points) September 24th, 2013

We bought this 63 VW yesterday. I want a vanity antique tag for it.
My first choice was LADY, but it’s taken.
LADYBUG is also taken.
What can I name my precious beetle?

Precious!!

@Dutchess_III
Hitler designed the car, and it has the same basic shape as a 911, just less squashed.

@ccrow gotta drop one letter off…..

Beetle Bailey, which is what I named one of mine a long time ago.

It has to fit on a license tag…no more than 7 characters.

It is! Come next 4th of July we’re going to take it in the parade. We’ll dress my 10 year old grand daughter up like a flower child, strap her to the top of the bug, maybe in a bean bag chair, and parade around! :) My son has a 1978 Pinto Wagon. We’ll pile the rest of the kids in there for the parade.

Dotty (ladybug spots) and, (to some people’s way of thinking, not mine) your state of mind.
Schatze (Treasure)

@Tropical_Willie :) Took me a sec. I saw RUG RAT.

SCHATZ….I like that, in that I like the translation…but it sounds like “SHOTS” in Engrish.

KWENBUG? I’m mumbling KWENBUG KWENBUG KWENBUG to myself over and over trying to hear it. My husband thinks I’m nuts. Which is nothing new.

Just kidding…

@Dutchess_III I had to make Queen Bug fit 7 letters.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Shoot. I never heard it. How about…KEENBUG?

Sunny2's avatar

Re Schatze, it’s used as an endearment and is pronounced Schatzie. I guess you could spell it Schatzi.

How about:

MYBEETL

MYBUGG

QT-BUGG (cutie bug)

Cool suggestions!
FLWRCLD?

Dutchess_III's avatar

How about FLWRPWR?
Then, in the parade, I’ll have my 10 year old grand daughter dressed like a flower child, strapped to the top of the car, and I’ll have magnetic flowers, like this stuck all over the car!

Buttonstc's avatar

Those flowers bring back fond memories of my Red 68 VW bug.

I saw flowers with that exact shape on sale in a store and scooped them up. Except mine were yellow and hot pink. Plus they were vinyl stick ons. A lot harder to get off than magnetic ones.

Wish I still had the pics I took but they’re somewhere scattered among years of stuff moving :)
