Has Little Richard ever commented on his sexuality?

His autobiography skirts it, but authorized biographies written by those who knew him well, such as Tony Scherman and Charles White, have outwardly said that he is indeed gay.
In fact, on this page of Charles White’s biography, he quotes Little Richard speaking about his homosexual experiences.

Little Richard used to always say “God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.” My thought is that he struggled with his gayness. Also Richard Simmons declared love for Judy Garland so I don’t think he is gay either.
