I could only think of parties with superstars, fancy Christmas parties or evenings in Hawaii with cocktails and lobster. Since none of these are in my future where can I wear a super bling top?

You can wear a super bling top grocery shopping! Really, though, any kind of fund-raiser or cocktail party is a good place. I love a nice super bling top and have several that I wear frequently.
You wear them frequently to grocery shop? Really? This is not a tiny , sleeveless one you can pop a blazer over. It is a long sleeved super blinder.
I wouldn’t. Unless it were an ugly sweater party.
A little glimmer is ok, being a disco ball is not.
@livelaughlove21 and @Seek_Kolinahr I made a mistake . I got it on Ebay and I didn’t know, for some reason, that it would be such a blinding spectacle.
I would have to see the top. I usually don’t like sequins tops, except for a long sleeve T I have that has ELVIS written out in sequins. LOL. Dead serious, I love that shirt.
You can wear it to the theatre I would think: a musical or ballet. Possibly to a dinner out at a fancy schmancy restaurant.
Hell, some of the ridiculous women where I live wear stuff like that to the grocery store, football games, church, kids’ birthday parties, school volunteer days, etc…
I guess it depends on where you’d feel comfortable wearing it.
I think I“ll have to relist it on Ebay. lol It is way too much of an attention grabber.
If you’ve got the nerve, everywhere.
I have a closet full of 80’s fashon that I am keeping for my granddaughters to play with. Maybe try vintage stores?
@Judi Nice!! There is no better fashion than 80’s fashion!
I don’t dress like that but you could wear it shopping with a jacket over it. Even a hoodie.
If I wore something like that, it would only be to a holiday party or something. It depends on how shiny it is. Sequins I don’t wear, unless just a few, scattered (again, and only to a holiday party). Sparkles, I would wear, to a holiday party. My job has a really fancy holiday party where people get all decked out, so I do not look inappropriate.
In some parts of the country, I imagine very casual dress is appropriate for holiday parties.
On the top half of my body.
@jca it’s as sparkly as you can get and it’s copper with black lining. Under a hoodie sounds sort of cool, actually . I don’t own a hoodie but I could buy a black one!
Sequins look nice on others, but not on me.
@Aster: or, if you wanted to dress it down, you could wear it under a black velour blazer.
@Judi You are one cool grandmother.
Halloween is coming up. And Christmas.
Seriously, wear it for casual parties with your friends. You can all enjoy it together
I love sequins. I wear mine to family gatherings and dinner parties. I won tickets to a Josh Groban concert, and I wore my crystal decorated shirt with a silky bandana pullover.
I have a gold sequin and a black sequin jacket, and a silver sequin tube top. I love shiny things.
Sequins and rhinestones and shiny things are on t-shirts and jeans nowadays. I don’t like it, but it’s tough finding clothes without it, so I wear the items with sparkly accents anywhere. I have a couple tops that have all-over shiny sparklies that I reserve for fancy dinners out and such.
