Are any of you Jellies like Irukandji (a small unpleasant or annoying jellyfish that bedevil water recreation) to another/other Jellies to your knowledge ?
Do you sense you are an Irukandji (a very small but potently deadly jellyfish very annoying to swimmers, divers, and surfers, etc.) to another or a few other Flutheronians? Whenever you post a question or comment on a thread you can almost feel eyes rolling and skin cringing, almost as if they are saying ”Grab the kids from the water, deploy the screens, and stay in the boat!”?

You figure? You would have to try much harder than that, I hardly notice you in any negative way at all, when I notice you and when I don’t is not because you are boring. ;)
Every-time I post something I assume I am in the minority.Every-time somebody tells me I am stupid I assume everybody assumes I am stupid.
I have realized over time, most people give me the benefit of the doubt unless I am responding angry. You can tell somebody they are full of shit, or that they are being dumb, as long as you take a moment and not be angry.
Hmmm, @Katniss and @Seek_Kolinahr seem to enliven any thread. I’ve sensed a couple people being annoyed by things I post, but not like it’s a constant irritant whenever I comment.
There are a couple people I usually disagree with, but there is only one person that makes me roll my eyes and shake my head and think, “how the fuck did he come up with that? It makes no sense at all”.
I’m sure but generally we seem to have some big personalities. ;)

I’ve pissed off a couple of people over the years, no major vendettas that I know of. I am really easy to get along with, here and in real life, but I hate ass-umptions. I have jumped on a few for making assumptions and called a few things as I have seen them.
If someone wants to hate me forever, knock yourself out. lol
I’m pretty good at pissing people off on here. Not quite as good as you, though.
Yep, because sometimes people don’t want help. They want sympathy and encouragement and validation, and generic and tomes of like-mindedness that support their various states of being un-glued.
Not to my knowledge; but given the nature of humans and our varying personalities, I imagine there are some who roll their eyes at my comments or whom I ‘rub the wrong way’.

Sometimes I feel like I am irritating others. I will often read posts over and over again before committing to it to make sure that my comment can’t be taken as the things on here that irritate me in others (unnecessary defensiveness or self righteousness for example.) I can remember a couple of discussions with fellow jellies in my early years that I now cringe at because, whilst I still stand by my point, my delivery was very poor and understandably got the other person’s back up.
I try to make my posts pretty much to the point. I try not to attack people. If a question asks for an opinion, and I offer an opinion that may be controversial, I will write something along the lines of “this is just my opinion.” That’s to remind people to please not jump all over me, an opinion was asked for an an opinion was given. I may annoy some people who don’t agree with me on certain things, but I try to just state what I state and leave it at that.
I thought this was an Irukandji??
I missed this one. There are indeed people to whom that applies.
