Have tech changes been restarted at Fluther?

I’ve been away for a super long time (hi! Missed you! School is hard!) and now I see the search function seems to have changed since I last visited. Have the Fluther gods started doing tech changes again?

Welcome back. Just a patch here and there. Nothing new.
Welcome back. There’s nothing new here.
Hi Mariah. I hadn’t noticed any changes and I think the Fluther Gods have moved on to other projects at Twitter one of which is intriguingly called ‘Jelly’.
Good to hear from you! I wouldn’t be able to tell you about technical changes. Not one of my strengths.
Actually yes, a few weeks ago I too noticed the search feature is, well, different, harder to find things, more ads coming up. I dunno, but yep, come to think of it, there is something different going on.
I think the change to search is actually a bug since it used to actually be helpful and now it isn’t.
Welcome back @Mariah , Google is your friend!
Fluther 3.91a patch notes:
*lurve is now subtracted for every “cake in the frizzer” joke
*removed Dr. J’s glasses and added contacts
*removed Dr. J’s contacts and added glasses
*whisper text is smaller to strain your eyes
Search isn’t working correctly at the moment, and Ben hasn’t had time to fix it. Anyone know how to get it working properly again?
PS: Hi @Mariah!
@augustlan I don’t think any of us can help without access to the server. You could have the guys start a vetting process on the developers here. Most of us would be happy to contribute to bug squashing and an occasional feature rollout. I’d do it just for credits on the patch. Good resume fluff.
@ETpro Yep, that’s the idea. I’d hook you up with Ben and he could vet and grant access to the server. All I know about the technical side of things is that our platform (I think that’s what it’s called?) is on Django.
That’s a fairly well understood framework.
