What can I do with hundreds of empty .22 bullet casings?

Of course I can recycle them but they are only worth about ⅓ cent each for scrap. Surely something useful can be made from these. See photo .
I have used them as spray nozzles for my bird feeding station by drilling a 0.013 inch (0.3 mm) hole in the bottom and pressing them into a hose cap that has been drilled out to 6mm. I can easily press the whole casing into the 6 mm hole and the small hole stays precise. They work great but I only need a few. What else can I make with them?
They are made of high quality brass and do not corrode so they can be used outdoors. Each one can hold precisely 0.35 ml of liquid.
Does someone here have a good idea?

Is Halloween not almost upon you?
Make a fake corpse and position it in your drive way, pour some thick red beet juice around it, scatter the casings around, and then play a loud machine gun sound in the middle of the night.
Iron Man’s nipple tassles?
Christmas tree ornaments. Surely you can find something festive to hot glue onto them!
How about Redneck Wind Chimes? You’d have to put something in them to give them some additional weight and/or different tones. I’m not sure what would work.
@syz Wow! That is interesting stuff! I am not that artistic, nor do I have the time or patience, but I sure do like the ideas.
@Adirondackwannabe From my initial calculations those wind chimes would ring in the ultrasonic region. Maybe that would bother mosquitoes and mice and keep them away. I’ll have to measure it.
@tedibear Ornaments, huh. Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like empty bullet casings.
@ucme They are a little small for nipple tassels. A penis plug perhaps?
@ragingloli Will you write to me while I’m in prison?
More prosaically, are casings recyclable?
@LuckyGuy Make them into Christmas wreaths and string them, you could sell them, heck put them with empty walnut shells. My hubs would love a set for our tree…lol You could be the new Duck Dynasty-type entrepeneur!!!!
@KNOWITALL I was thinking strings of Christmas lights. I bet it would work as a fad for a while.
Ooooo!!!! I can put high powered LEDs in them. The casing can act as a cooling/heat exchanger.
@syz Casings can be melted down and recycled. They cannot be reloaded like other ammunition.
Every year for Christmas, I put a stick in a pot of dirt, and hang a .22 shell from one of the branches. It’s a Cartridge in a Bare Tree.
Wondering why you have hundreds of shell casings.
@LuckyGuy – Send me some and I’ll see what I can do. :D
Get a ball chain with a fastener on the end in a color that would go well with the cartridge . Drill a hole in each cartridge big enough for the chain to pass through. Thread the cartridges on the chain. Voila: a necklace.
Pinterest is all over this. All you need next is an Etsy account.
Brass contains large percentages of copper and zinc. Both of these metals are good moss and algae inhibitors. So you could wire all of the brass shell casings together and string it across the top of your roof to keep moss from forming. It may be better than shelling (HA) out a bunch of money for this stuff
Also you can place the string of brass shell casings around your garden to keep the snails and slugs out and away from your plants.
You could send then to me, and I could attack Pinterest… haha.
I’m mentally designing wrist cuffs and guitar straps.
@Seek_Kolinahr @tedibear PM me with your address (or some drop-off point) and I will send some. I might even throw in some Shagbark Hickory nuts. Free!
@Seek_Kolinahr Shipped USPS Priority Flat rate. You will have them Saturday. Enjoy!
Live long and prosper.
Happy happy joy joy! The hubs is looking forward to a new guitar strap. I’m scouting the interwebs now for other ideas.
I’ve got another pile of casings. Does anyone want them? I will gladly send them anywhere in the US.
