Have you bought anything awesome lately?

Bought one of these not too long ago.

I actually just got something from fractureme in the mail today. It is a gift for Allie.

I uploaded a really low quality picture but it turned out amazing. I hate to sound like spam but it was awesome and reasonably priced.

No, but I’m getting a new dishwasher. If I paint a mustache on it, would it count? What if I glued googly eyes on it?

@Sunny2, I think dishwashers are cool. I’m the dishwasher at my house. :(

Just got a new dishwasher and refrigerator. Refrigerator has an ice maker in it, which I never had before. I was fine without ice, but now that I have ice, automatically made, I am enjoying it.

I also bought a new Dell laptop. Tonight is my first time using it. I am getting used to the keyboard as we speak. It’s got a 17 inch screen, which is way bigger than my other little Acer netbook. I feel like I have a TV on my lap. I haven’t been on Fluther or Facebook much lately, except for surfing, because I couldn’t type with old netbook with broken keyboard.

I don’t really think of those things as awesome, though. They’re nice conveniences, but necessary and not really what I consider incredible things. I am trying to think of fun things I bought for myself or for my daughter, and nothing awesome comes to mind. Fun things, yes. Halloween things, yes. Awesome, not really. Maybe my idea of “awesome” is too incredible and needs to be brought down a notch.

I recently bought a new high-tech LG clothes washer and dryer pair that’s about 10x better than the clunkers that came with the house. They use less water, less electricity, and the best feature on each is the little melody that plays when they’ve finished.

I found a big vinyl fish tank by the side of the road, and I think I’m going to trade it to my neighbor for a sweet new bicycle.

Lately? I don’t think so. Although I do think all the books I buy are awesome. I did buy a car a little over a year ago, but it’s very generic and plain and not meant to be the least bit cool. I don’t buy many toys any more, or jewelry, or other things that someone might admire, but I have fun with what I do buy. Which is mostly books.

Oh, I bought a new cellphone a few weeks ago. It’s not cool either.

I recently bought some cool new bedroom curtains that are a shimmery kind of gold with embossed leopard prints for my bedroom and an awesome, super plush, deep aqua blanket and matching pillows for my bed. Winter cozy time coming. My bedroom is a beige, gold and deep aqua color theme.

Dude. That vampire hunting kit is awesome.

It’s a Christmas present for someone. But I’m totally playing with it until then.

My husband bought a new printer/copier/fax. It works wirelessly, I am trying to stil figure it out. It was a great deal I think? Cost something like $55.

We purchased season tickets for Six Flags – all parks, and a season dining pass for our local park, Discovery Kingdom. We have taken the kids twice, and have a two day special planned for their parents anniversary, using the free tickets we received.

We have free hotel rooms using points, and will give the parents a free day alone, we meet them the next day and visit the park two days, with two nights in the hotel. I’m excited about it.

I forgot the best thing for me, that is not something I consider awesome but I am very happy to have it. I got a new bed. Queen size. It feels so huge and I love love love it.

I bought a Galaxy Note 3 mobile phone recently which is fantastic. It is really a pocket computer. It does everything.

I’m living vicariously through all of you. I just got a new…space heater, haha.

I bought this “Proform Tour De France Bike-Generation 2” three weeks ago and love it. It’s like riding a real bike. Its computer connects to the internet and so you can ride virtually anywhere.

Two of these, which have allowed me to un-sequester my elderly litterbox-troubled cat. And I only had to try a dozen or so box systems over two years (and countless piss-soaked belongings) to finally find a solution she likes! So they are quite possibly the best purchase I have ever made.

I bought a pair of $250 Boss by Hugo Boots (like new) at the Salvation Army for $6!

Except for food, I don’t bother to buy much unless it is awesome. Otherwise I save the money. Until I find something awesome.
