I suggest you to choose the cake according to the choice of your friends. I personally like Dark Chocolate so I suggest you for this one. But it’s all up to you.
I choose chocolate cake for my friends and family because all they love chocolates specially dark choclates.
What are the choices where you come from? If it was me I would go with Red Velvet Cake or Coconut Cake, but I am assuming culturally you are talking about something else.
Chocolate and fig sounds good to me. Like this maybe ? ?

Chocolate is good as is a spice cake.
Pumpkin Spice or Rum Cake would be my choices.
German chocolate, red velvet, or carrot cake.
I absolutely adore good fruitcake. So all you Jellies who get one for Christmas and hate them, PM me and I’ll send a prepaid USPS label.
I’ve never heard of giving cake (other than the regrettable tradition of fruitcake) as a gift to friends on Christmas. Where is this a custom?
Thank You So much guys for giving me lovely suggestions I want to send cake for my three best buddies on Christmas. Can u tell me which site is the best to send online cake with reasonable price and provide good service..?

@Jeruba Just think “Figgy Pudding” which is served on Christmas in England.

I’m going to act like this is a real question, until further notice.
If you are in England, try Betty’s. It looks like they have a whole selection of Christmas cakes and other goodies.
If you are in the United States, Swiss Colony also has a large selection of Christmas Cakes.
I’m guessing that the OP is neither English or American. One of my friends moved to Japan several years ago, and he said it is customary to bring a gift of food to your hosts home and they have a whole industry dedicated to this procedure, he also said that many of the items are more “westernized” items such as cake, rather than Japanese delicacies. The OP also asked another Q about Christmas, so I’m guessing that he or she may be new to the U.S. or U.K. and is just getting a feel for the holiday.
@Kardamom That was very nice. I hope you are right.
@Tropical_Willie, it’s a pretty big leap for me from thinking of plum pudding or grandma’s fruitcake as traditionally served at home to ordering chocolate cakes online for one’s friends as if it were a customary and expected gesture.
When I asked where this is a custom, I’m thinking that perhaps it is a custom somewhere, but not anywhere that I’m familiar with across the U.S. And I’m also thinking that people who recognize and follow that custom might be the best advisors. But doing it where it’s not a usual gesture may not have the effect that the OP is hoping for.
@Jeruba I agree with you! Buying a Christmas cake online seems to defeat the purpose of this most personal of Christmas gifts.
It is a tradition in the UK and not in the US. There are UK members of Fluther, sounds like OP is new to the English language and is trying to find gift cakes for his new friends.
I like to bake gifts for co-workers and more often than not I give a Gingerbread bundt cake. Apple or Pear spice cake is a nice seasonal choice too.
@Carla Those sound delicious. Can you PM me the recipes?
