Do you watch, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo?" and why?

Asked by Aster (20028points) October 27th, 2013

I surmise that some will say they watch Boo Boo because they’re fascinated about how stupid and inane it is. Like my UFO shows I supposed. I never watch since it makes me cringe; does that make me a snob? I know they have many good qualities and I shouldn’t avoid watching because I don’t like gaseous sounds and remarks meant to be funny that , to me, are not funny. Do you admit to watching it or would you rather avoid answering?

Oh dear God no! Horrible show, glorifying low intelligence, stupidity and outright child abuse. Bah Humbug!

For the love of Satan, no.
I have no interest in Freak Shows.
(btw, that “child” will probably grow up to be a complete slag)

What’s a slag? lol

What?! And take time away from watching Fox News!

@Coloma and @ragingloli—LOL!

I watched about 5 minutes of one episode and couldn’t take it any more. It’s dreck and I can’t think of a reason to subject myself to that.

Looked it up on Wiki, and after reading the first two sentences, I’m pretty sure this isn’t something I would watch.

What the hell? They said that the eldest daughter, 17 years old at the end of season one gave birth. I thought 18 years old was the age of consent…what the hell is this?

I haven’t watched cable TV in literally years, somehow, I’m glad.

Sounds like a movie hybrid of Winnie the Pooh & Yogi Bear.
Stumbled across the crap once, drawn in by the title, took approximately eleven seconds before I turned it off. Any longer & i’d probably have eaten my own head out of sheer boredom.

I’m firmly convinced that the only people who watch this piece of garbage are those who have the intellectual capacity that is less than that displayed by your common, ordinary fungus. Why would anyone watch such a piece of crap anyway? About 15 seconds was more than enough for me!

I’ve read messages by women who watch it and they say how sweet and caring “mama bear” is and that they are so real and down to earth.
That’s their excuse.
Then I’m sure there are thousands who think the family members are funny. Yes; funny.

I watched one episode of Toddlers and Tiaras, way before Honey had her own show.

It made me angry. I don’t like my entertainment to make me angry. Mostly because I’ll keep watching and make myself more angry. And then in even angrier because in giving these awful people ratings.

So I stopped. And I don’t have TV anymore.

We would not like you when you are angry. Seek Smash!

If you’re a snob, so am I. I know a few people obsessed with that show. I’m worried my IQ will drop if I watch more than a minute or two of that inane shit. I’d be embarrassed to admit I watched it and enjoyed it. Honey Boo Boo and her mom have faces that faces I’d love to punch.

I have similar feelings about Duck Dynasty.

God, no. I can’t stand any of that type of show. Whether it’s Jersey Shore or ‘Rednecks in the Swamp Land of Loggers and Truckers on Ice”, they are all about showcasing the worst of humanity and making fun of it, to boot.

Coloma's avatar

@augustlan I agree, unbelievable how we glorify degenerates. Pfft!

I watch it. I’m not ashamed. lol
I watch it mostly for the gross out factor. I also watch it for the many “wtf” moments.

I made my fiancé watch it once. This is what he said “Baby, I love you, but wtf is wrong with you?!” lol

I watch Toddlers and Tiaras and I remember the episode that had Honey BooBoo. I didn’t care for them much but when I heard they were having a show, I was curious. I think it’s funny but definitely not my favorite show.
