no. there isn’t. which is good, i like my privacy and i respect others privacy.
yeah. you have to be a mod.
apart from that I don’t thin there is.
(mods can see everything!!!!! ooooooooooooooooo!)
i didn’t think mods could see it either? any of the mods want to clarify this?
if they don’t they’re big fat fibbers
I’m not a mod but I know they can. Mostly so they can see if someone is gaming the system.
yeah i think it would be weird to see but i also want to know who identifies with my responses solely on the basis of lurve, and not which responses gain another response about
@john yeah, you’re right. I’ve been told multiple times of it being used because people set up multiple accounts just to they can great Q&A themselves… SAD!
& @waterskier, yeah, you make a good point. It’s like “who are my fans…?” lol
It’s not possible.
I’ve previously mentioned that I thought it’d be nice if the people I lurve could see it came from me (making it unnecessary to voice my agreement, awe or being impressed), but from what I recall, most flutherites disagree with this and I understand the viewpoint of it encouraging reciprocation and cliques and therefore isn’t a great idea.
yeah. I guess if you REALLY wanted to let the person know that is was you who ‘loved’ them, then you could just use the ‘thank’ option.
i found a youtube video that explains how to see who gave you lurve (for anyone interested).
I would give negative lurve to PnL right now if I could.
Yes, we can see who is giving who lurve. No, it’s not particularly interesting.
Clearly it is to some people!
@cage: Just gave you some lurve for that.
Clearly!
Wait.
What were we talking about?
Oh yah… access to the soon-to-be-released Fluther API.
Waaa all this talk of mods, I want to be a mod.
no you don’t. you get ripped by people like me. And then you get your arse kissed a scary amount by others… COUGH-rob-COUGH
@jp, did you lose a bet with PnL?
@Eambos
I didn’t lose a bet. I am just working on expressing my emotions. I was discussing things with my psychiatrist the other day and she told me that I don’t do a good job of telling people how I really feel.
< < trying @jp’s approach
hahahha. well can i just say that this is an excellent start to expressing yourself. sometimes, i was unsure of your love for me, and would have to cry myself to sleep, but that picture has removed all doubts.
oooh and i see you started a trend !
Time to break out the MS Paint!!!
Once I get to the pc…
@Pnl
This one is still available. Just saying.
I am less than 3
all of you.
But I like my icon.
@jp: Just PnL? Are you joking? Everyone should be using that one. <<
A jp fanclub? how much is the annual fee?
Eambos knows me well. Perhaps too well.
As president of the JP fan club, please feel free to send all donations to me and I will direct them to the charities we support.
<<< i don’t understand why rob should be the only mod “ass kisser” like cage described him to be.
this discussion has gone way off topic. i wouldnt like it that much if you can see lurve because i like guessing who gives it to me, based on the personalities of fellow flutherites.
i should change my icon. ill do it in a bit. but none of that clicky stuff. does anyone know of an alternative to ms paint but for mac?
yeah, check out seashore its a good one and it supports layers like photoshop
I don’t think I would want to be able to see or for others to be able to see. It sets up a whole “Why did you give lurve for that mindset?” plus it might make some people (you know who you are) :) play to certain others sucking up for lurve.
I don’t want to explain myself. Sometimes I give lurve for a straight excellent answer. Sometimes I give lurve for wit. Sometimes I try to give lurve to foil someone else’s childish need to have the most lurve without deserving it. Sometimes I give lurve to encourage a new Flutherer. Right now, it’s my prerogative and for me to know and others to guess.
(Mods essentially function in the Fluther universe as gods and so do not count.)
<— imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
The best part is that I thought that was something I had posted for a second!
hmm, too confusing
We return you now to your regularly scheduled phoenyx avatar.
@phoenyx I feel as if you had just been reborn. ;)
@Rob, why’d you don the mask again?
@marina, I’ve said it before. It’s worth saying again. You. Are. Hilarious!
@Eambos, people here start looking at me all askew without the mask. I think people find comfort and solace in the kayfabe.
I’M JUST A LURVE MACHINE.
Sink the Bismarck! The world depends on us!. The Bismarck started firing 15 miles away. he mighty Hood went down.
Oh…...what was the question again? My answer is about on track as the last 10 or 12 comments.
Some people just freely hand out lurve cuz it maes them warm and fuzzy inside
I don’t get warm and fuzzy inside, but I do hand it out alot. I read a lot more than I answer here, so if I think the answer was good and stuck to the question, I give a lurve. I also, give it to everyone who answers one of my questions, as long as they stick to the question, it’s my way of saying thank you for taking the time out and thinking my question was important enough to answer.
I’ve even given it to questions that are like 3 months old or longer, way before I came. Some answers I thought deserved a lurve, never even got any points. So I give it.
Some people may not like the way I do it, but it’s the way I do it.
some days I get in a giving mood and will just randomly walk around lurving everyone I see LOL
@sarapnsc – our “lurve giving methods” are very similar :)
@wenbert I tried too…did I do it right??
Why do they always lurve you and leave you?
