Contact an Bankruptcy Attorney.
Liquid assets like checking accounts and savings accounts are NOT protected.

I know trust accounts are not subject to bankruptcy. But I’m guessing if you try to set one up just before you try to file chapter 7, they’ll think you’re trying to hide it, and take it anyway.
