Is it a sign of missing nutrients?

No. Eye color can change over age as melanin content changes. But it is not from diet.

^ Yep.

With age, we lose some melanin. It’s why your lips seem smaller as you get older. They’re really not, they just lighten around the edges.

Eyes can change color in some people because of genetics or injury, other than that it normally remains the same for life. In a very small percentage of adults, eye color can naturally become either noticeably darker or lighter with age.

Wow, I’ve never heard of that happening to adults. I was surprised that my daughters eyes took so long to stop changing. She was about 6 before they stopped.

There is a lady in her thirties ? on youtube who had her eyes change from brown to hazel/green after months on a vegan diet. Before the diet she had many illnesses, spent time in the hospital. Then for some reason she went vegan and hasn’t had any health problems since. And the closeups of her eyes show they’re almost green.

I can’t think of a mechanism of why diet would make a difference.
