Has anyone had trouble changing their avatar today?

I had no problem changing mine.

I did change it temporarily, then changed it back.

Looks like some pics I can download and some I can’t…...

^^ Just to be clear, it sounds like you’re not describing changing your avatar as much as uploading a new one. This is an important distinction.

Well, OK. It looks like I can upload some pictures but not others!

It only really seems to like jpg format, and it definitely seems to prefer that you do any avatar changes via a computer rather than a mobile device.

I’m using my desk top. Always save in JPG. And I would think it was the camera I got for Christmas last year (a mondo Canon Rebel) but it still loads some of the pictures I’ve taken with it since then. I had this problem before…the image was too “big” GB-wise. I need to track the resolution down again.

That was my next guess, that it was too big.

But before it came up and said it exceeded the size limit. I posted a question about it. This time it just timed out. It’s probably my internet provider. I just don’t want to pay $75 to avoid the hassle of uploading sum dum Avatar.
