Has research finally found the underlying cause of Global Warming?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33578points) November 12th, 2013

or is another wacko right winger? His belief is that Abortion so angered God that god is causing climate change.

Hey, anyone can believe anything.

My real questions are: why does politics attract so many of these people with these extreme beliefs?

How do they reach leadership roles?

Maybe all the time wasted arguing about aborton could have been better spent on global climate change.

Because it is through politics that one can achieve the power to impose those beliefs on the unbelieving.

Global warming is caused by all the hot air issuing forth from the constantly braying mouths of the right wing.

Eye opening… I hadn’t realized this was happening.

I guess we should now face the music and stop all the Obamacare subsidies for abortion and use that money to fortify the anti-abortion movement.

We may be able to curb this if we act swiftly. We will earn the money spend on anti-abortion measures back, though, since we can stop the environmental liberal pet projects that now press so heavily on our spendings and are a major reason why we all pay such high taxes in this country.

We may want to spend more on the military, since we may need to take our responsibility and fight abortion worldwide. After all, God looks beyond the borders of the US and global warming is a global problem, We may seek an alliance with other good countries, such as Saudi Arabia. These may help us fund our cause.

We should be ready to take the consequences of this discovery. We may have to go at war with Europe. Those Europeans live like they did in Sodom and Gomorrah. God is rightfully angered and we should recognize our calling. O’Reilly was right (youtube.)

Yep, abortion.
Not the pollution, not the racism, not the torture, not the war, not the massive murder rate, not the child raping priests.
No, it is abortion that upsets the sky wizard.

Rupert Murdock and Fox news. All that hot air has to go somewhere.

I have one small problem with the logic of the anti-abortion folks. They seem outraged at the gov’t. subsidizing contraceptives which might actually curb the number of abortions.

It also seems that many of the ones against abortion are also against welfare programs that would help children in need. Guess that makes two reasons but I’m not exactly sure if they all share the same logic.

People who profess to understand the ways of the Almighty (as if they have inside knowledge) also annoy me. Humans have freedom to choose and each of us must answer to our own inner selves, imho.

These self appointed types would like to take that away while at the same time, complain about gov’t. intrusion. Let’s let the gov’t. serve the will of the people and not the will of a few fundamentalist hellfire and brimstone types.

Einstein stated: “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.”

One must stand in awe at the lengths some will traverse to prove him right.

And most of them don’t even believe in science.

Global warming has become an increasing problem since the mid-20th century. I was born shortly after the middle of the 20th century. I am the cause of global warming.

I believe that’s called “fallacious reasoning,” and it’s such a simple thing to do. Anyone can create bad arguments to support a faulty position.

Those kind of religious folk need more than church and discipline. IMHO.
Yes I am a Christian, but this guy’s logic is flawed from here to church and back every Sunday morning. :/

It’s not my problem really, but it doesn’t make it any easier for the people who want to be logical about God and their faith.

This guy has been in the religious spotlight for years and does not understand what it means to get the message across. Honestly I believe that is because he is also an activist and his abortion tantrum just comes from the roots of his activism and really has nothing to do with being a good and faithful Christian person. David Barton is not God and I do believe that sometimes when a Christian takes a more activist approach on certain issues they can look a little bit like they are trying to replace Him.

We were given the ability to make a choice for a reason, this David guy needs to reread the book of Job.

As a Christian I would of also thought that David Barton should also understand that we are made free by Christs blood sacrifice. God is loving and forgiving and most of all God is grace and David Barton as a Christian should excel his character traits similar to those. I am not saying that he should live a sin free life because we know that Christians continue to sin after they are saved and I do not think that David Barton would be saying the things he does about abortion like he is the king of all kings if he wasn’t a sinner but as a Christian I believe that we will not be completely free from sin until we die or Jesus comes back and I think that David Barton should believe that too.

But most of all, just to be straight forward, he really should as a true christian just change his way of Christian life for the better and try not to sin and be more aware and move on from attacking abortion and learn from his mistakes, this is only my opinion as a Christian, but people are having abortions because God is causing it to happen, for the same reason he causes good weather or bad weather, I am not the maker but if you read the book of Ephesians in the KJV you can get an idea of the Christian God.

So instead of proselytizing abortion in an attempt to convert people because this David Barton guy obviously believes abortion is a “sin” maybe he should get off his high horse and focus his energy on those women who are having abortions in a positive manner and send them love and prayers and comfort.

“We the people are mostly to blame” and that statement has nothing to with abortion.

~Job 37
1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

That’s my 2 cents worth. :P
