Do you have a silly family name for an everyday item?

One, I would never think about using today:
We called the turn signal, the “Flicker.”
“Turn you flicker off, that sound is making me bonkers!”

One I still use:
Cole slaw = cold slop
My sister as a child: “Please pass me the cold slop.”
