Do callers to 911 like in the following link, get fined?

Maybe you can find a link with better sound.
http://www.ksby.com/videos/man-calls-911-to-report-snoring-woman/
I saw 2 videos same story but different callers by the way.

Your link is just taking me to their main page. Maybe it’s because I’m on an iPhone.

@Judi try to give it a few seconds, it doesn’t come on immediately for me either. There is an ad for Framberger or something.

In many jurisdictions this could be a filing a false police report infraction, or another misdemeanor that I forget the name of, something to do with interfering with police work..

I know they at least get fined…I don’t know about criminal charges, but I know there are penalties that include fines.

And they should get punished. 911 should not be abused.

They come to your house and check things out. and make sure everything is fine. Normally first time they may just give a warning, the second time the person would be fined, if it continues, in some states violators could be jailed for up to three months.

I think that guy was drinking a beer when he was talking to that reporter. I have no idea if they get fined but they definitely should. I’m thankful my boyfriend doesn’t call the law on me when I snore.

We had a huge windstorm a few years ago. Some people, mainly elderly, called 911 to come remove branches from their yard.

Could they ask him to wake her up, and asked her if he can escort her home?

Thanks all for info regarding different jurisdictions.
