I’m surprised I must say that someone has the same nick as me. It could lead to interesting confusions for sure.

Really? I don’t seem to find that user you mentioned
I saw it. The other person is new: Lornalove
That is confusing.
You might want to contact @Augustlan, our community leader, to see if there is anything that can or should be done to clear up the confusion. You can message her directly from Here
I did think that was odd when I thought I saw your name, but then saw that hanging toenail avatar, which didn’t seem like you LOL.
Perhaps she could be @LornaLike
@Kardamom Fluther will have to do something about the letter “l” (L) and “I” (I) :)
@LornaLove have you changed your avatar? Is that because of that above-mentioned incident?
I didn’t think this was allowed. It is very confusing.
I wondered about this, @LornaLove! I thought for a moment that you had developed a new somewhat darker personality.
I would like to change my username to @JonsBlonde
So they’re not making the new Lornalove change her name?
Will the real Lornalove please stand up? LOL
Maybe this is how Jelly, the new website begins.
First they start with a clone of @LornaLove but, as Michael Keaton taught us, clones are imperfect – so she’s @Lornalove.
Soon, we’ll see:
@gailphoned
@JLesley
@acj
@Mimishu1984
@zephyra
@Kardadad
@LuckyGirl
... and more!
All doppelgängers, designed to assimilate or eliminate us and, ultimately replace us. They will then move on to Jelly, and Fluther with burn and collapse like Rome or Constantinople.
Watch you back @LornaLove!! Watch your back.
Me? I’ll be replaced by @cookiedude.
@cookieman In my opinion the nicknames do not really matter, it’s how long users use Fluther that matter. If there was a clone of mine with a name of Mimishu1984 but then he/she vanished after some time (didn’t use Fluther for a long while) then I wouldn’t care much.

Seems disrespectful to me, not to mention unoriginal, I mean how hard is it to dream up a handle?
Wow, I had no idea that was happening. I was wondering why “you’d” been getting into tiffs with so many people all of a sudden! Though this user’s name is actually Lornaiove (the “i” is capitalized, and looks just like a lowercase “L”), it’s too close for comfort. I’ll take care of it, ASAP.
I’d file a formal complaint!
Edit: Guess I should have read all the responses first. lol
As far as i’m aware, there are currently no users named nick :)
I shall become cookieman. Dang! You’re almost at 30,000 @cookieman!
@Dutchess_lll Or cookiewoman even?
I think I shall go as Oysterwoman_III
I’d change mine to @dsx but that’s what everyone knows me as anyway.
@dxs You know we’d just start calling you dxs. It’s our way.
Milo here; Hey, @Brownieman; I’d like to be @Milocalled but Gail keeps changing the password (and hiding the keyboard).
@Milo: Sorry. Maybe someone will get you an iPad for the holidays.
^^ Are you volunteering, big boy? I’ll PM you my contact info. Make sure it’s the new mini, please, with Retina, 128 GB, wi-f- and cellular. It’s only $929.
Hmm. How does one get on this mailing list?
Update: The name on that other account has been changed.
@augustlan However, I notice that her profile pic is as… out there… as ever. :P
@glacial yeah that pic makes me want to gag every time I see it.
I am not sure we all see the same one. :/
Yep. Gag is the appropriate word for the current avatar. o.O
If you like, I can change mine to my new post-knee surgery scar with the smaller, newer infection scar juxtaposed on it. Just say the word.
We can have a content for the most disgusting.
@jonsblond lol, that’s not even what it was when I last checked… but yes, that is pretty appropriate.
Thank you @augustlan it is a lot easier particularly when people are replying to either of us on a thread. I know what avatar I am seeing!! kinky!
Somebody send me a link to that user so I can see her disgusting avatar?
Just Google ” really badly infected big toes.
^^^ Didn’t find any pictures, but found some really strange and stupid questions about foot infections. One gal had an infected toe, didn’t want to use tap water to clean it because it was fluoridated, wondered if eating 50 apricot seed a day would help. Or something.
Did you click on the images? Or just imagine it. Now go make an apple pie or tickle the twins or something that is fun.
Here is where I ended up. Just read the first two then quit.
@gailcalled The infected toe disappeared quite a while ago.
^^ Small mercies. But @Dutchess did seem strangely determined.
Not too terribly. After all, I haven’t googled “images of.”
Okay, someone is using a “zen” nick…
@zenzen Are you sure it isn’t one of you?
