Does anyone else have problems with iMovie?q?
All i am trying to do is import some .mov files that i have made from my digital camera. This is my first time using iLife 08’, well atleast the iMovie portion and i must say i hate it because i cant get it to import any videos. Ive even tried changed the type of file i import. If anyone knows a trick please help. Or if you would like to complain with me go ahead.

Have you tried to drag n’ drop your file on iMovie icon on your Dock ?
When you create a project are you sure that you have selected the good video format in the optional menu (on iMovie HD 6.0.3).
@Mulot that dosent work, i just need to know what kind of file types work for sure. Because iMovie help lies
It has never worked for me. I usually import them on my PC, then use a jumpdrive to put them on my Mac. Supposedly, iMovie HD 6 will let you import movies. It’s also a free download.
Download iMovie HD 6 here.
he should still have iMovie ‘06, unless his computer is new. if he had iMovie ‘06 and then installed iLife ‘08, it keeps iMovie ‘06 in a folder in applications
@waterskier
iMovie ‘08 has been coming preinstalled in Macs since last June. The computer wouldn’t have to be that new.
no, i got mine last june and it had iMovie ‘06
Perhaps late June? My sister bought hers June 29 and it had ‘08. I got mine in August and it had the same thing.
oh, i got mine early june, and i was just commenting so that he didnt download it again if he already had it. and since he said it was his first time playing with ‘08 i thought maybe he just bought it or something
Oh. They probably changed what version it came with after the 2007 WWDC.
I have iMovie 08. I reinstalled my os and put a fresh copy of iLife 08. So no 06 for me.
ok well then go and download ‘06. i also like ‘06 because you can slow clips and reverse them, and for some reason apple hasnt included this in ‘08 which pisses me off
