What kind of oil is in a shoe shine sponge?

Can the sponges be re-charged?

I think it might be mink oil, don’t quote me on that though.

That’s what I was thinking, @ucme, as well. In that case, probably no.

Mink Oil is used to restore the oils and condition the leather. You get it to buy separately, but the Casual Shoe Shine Sponge has silicone oil and wax in it. I usually toss it and buy new one, refilling would be a mess.
