Nothing special for Labor Day, hot dogs or BBQ for July 4. When I lived briefly in Milwaukee, I tried what the locals love, bratwurst, but I wasn’t crazy about it. But I also discovered Chicago-style hotdogs, which I love.
Independence Day…waffles, marshmallows, apple pie & beer.
Your typical American breakfast ~
Fourth of July Berries in desserts. Cookouts: Hot dogs, burgers, potato salad, deviled eggs.

Labor day is usually opening weekend of dove season, so dove breasts wrapped in bacon on the grill, with a sliver of jalepeno pepper or garlic inside the bacon.
July 4 is usually walleye or catfish on the grill.
Both with cole slaw, macaroni salad and whatever else I feel like fixing.

@ibstubro What is your favorite fake hot dog brand? I’ve tried a few and they were fine, but nothing to write home about. I’ve eaten some great fake bacon and sausage items, though.
I don’t eat a lot of fake meat. I’ve not found a great not dog, either. I like the Morningstar mini corndogs, but that’s because I believe there are just a vehicle for eating ketchup. lol I love Morningstar sausage patties and that’s about the only thing I eat on a fairly regular (less than once a month) basis.
@ibstubro I like most of the Morningstar Farms products, but don’t eat them very often.
Smart Bacon by Lightlife is very good too.
I’ll try the Smart Bacon for BLT’s sometime. ^
It would make me very nervous to use something called “smart bacon.”
