Are there any Black Friday bargain hunters here?

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!
I don’t do Black Friday, but I found this last night and thought it was pretty amusing and slightly relevant.
Who’s is going to go out and brave the cold and the crowds?

I’d quite like a tee-shirt that says…
Thanksgiving Day…
or as the Native Americans call it
HALLOWEEN!
I may do some online but nothing anywhere near a mall. Although, in thinking about it, I did go to a mall once on Black Friday but I went about 8 pm and I found that most of the Black Friday shoppers must go out early in the morning after not much sleep. By 8 pm they’re all home resting and so for shopping, the bargain prices are still there but the crowds are not.
Tomorrow will be the one lazy day I get this weekend. I’m not getting out of my pajamas.
I’ve never participated in Black Friday. Thanksgiving is a time for me to enjoy time with my family, not a time to be running around shopping. I hate shopping and I hate crowds.
Tomorrow, no shopping, unless on line. I am spending the day with the woman I met earlier this month. :-)
Since I have a fear of crowds, Black Friday shopping is hell for me. Pass.
@ucme . . . if i remember my history correctly you brits have never been exactly ‘indian’ friendly yourselves. happy thanksgiving sir
Black Friday is fucking repugnant and so are the participants. It almost makes me ashamed to be a fat, lazy, white, male, capitalist pig.
Black Friday is not so prominent here. But after hearing from others I feel people need to spend more time with family creating memories rather than spoiling the glow of a holiday with the Black Friday Mania.
@Blondesjon Settle down dear, twas but a joke, nowt to get worked up over…honest.
I know a lot of folks that fire up the computer and buy online on black Friday. Seems easier.
@Katniss I liked the black friday pics. How true!
I’m sure there are great deals out there, but the deals aren’t worth it to me if I have to fight with people for the stuff! I like to holiday shop and have it feel peaceful and as relaxing as possible.
I only went to the stores that didn’t have a big line. Walmart’s parking lot was jammed and there was a line of people all the way into the road. It was crazy. I couldn’t wait to get out of there before I ran someone over.
The thing with Black Friday is you have to go late in the day – around 8 pm when all the hard core shoppers are home resting from their all night spree. That’s what I did – I met a friend for dinner last night (Black Friday) and then we went to two stores. Crowds not bad at all at that time.
I noticed a long time ago that the stores thin out around dinner time, about 5:00.
