How do blind people know when to stop wiping?

Seriously. Well, half seriously at least. Someone else posed this question on that other page, but I like the possibilities on where this could go here much better. How do they know when they’re all clear after an exhausting second encounter with whatever causes explosive reactions? I’m talking about the worst of messes.

Maybe they do a quick smell test or hop into the shower?
This has been asked twice before and one time a blind person was queried. I don’t have the time but you might want to search for the other answers. Basically, the gist of the answer was that you can feel when you’re done.
I posed the same question several years ago.
It amazes me they can do this.
Thanks for the link to your old Q, @filmfann. I figured it would have more to do with intuition than anything else, though I did expect baby wipes to make an appearance.
I wonder how blind (from birth) women know when they’ve gotten their period, and when it’s finished? They’re probably just more in tune with the physical feeling, but I’d be interested to know.
