Humbag back. No they are NOT at all. I’ve already been treated poorly twice today before noon. :(

Some people yes, others, no. There is no way to make a blanket statement out of individual human behavior.

Some are, but not like we ustah be.

O course they are, but only if they are Christian.

Other people are more considerate during the HOLIDAYS.

@YARNLADY Clever lady. At least you didn’t use Xmas…lol

Of course, even Ebenezer Scrooge came round eventually.

@flutherother That’s only because they told Scrooge he’d never bag one of the Rocketts with that attitude.

I think that generally speaking people are in a better mindframe during the holidays and as such are happier and much more pleasant to be around so I would say, yes.

Present humbugs excepted of course.

I think that in the past, yes, but not anymore. Sad.

I don’t think people are any better behaved because the pressure and stress of gift-giving and travel distracts them. That annoys the person behind them, who is then distracted, and annoys the person behind them…until you have a 1,000 car pile-up of annoyed people.

Add to that the crowds, the unpredictable weather in much of the country and the repetitive music blaring loudly everywhere you go and I think it’s a wonder there isn’t a brawl in nearly every store in the US.

Oh, and I forgot to mention family time with those you detest.

I think people are generally better behaved at Easter, because it lacks many of the elements of the Christmas Holiday, but all the pleasant features.

To me, people are better behaved at Thanksgiving, which doesn’t necessitate gift-giving or celebratory focus on any one religion—just a special day set aside to give thanks to anyone or anything we wish, and of course to over-indulge on lots of good food.

Unfortunately, the Christmas gift-buying season now encroaches on the week of Thanksgiving, but I think it’s still the best non-religious holiday of all.

I’m the same although I have noticed more of a sappy fakeness from others.
