Do you need to use additional effects for sampled VSTi on DAWs?

Do you really need it? Like for orchestra or other sampler library. When you don’t like the sound from it or the sound from the VSTi isn’t like what you expect or want, is it determine its quality or it because you need to mix it with additional effects?

Wow – all those acronyms. If only we had some clue what you were talking about…
I think. It might be a combination of the two. I have limited experience with digital recording, but it seems that you could use either of the methods, or a combination of the two.
@elbanditoroso Don’t worry, anyone who would be able to answer his question will understand what he’s talking about just fine. Anyone who doesn’t understand the acronyms wouldn’t have the knowledge he’s after anyway.
Those? It just DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and VSTi (Virtual Studio Technology Instrument)
There is also the matter of the mangled syntax, acronyms notwithstanding.
You don’t have to do anything with the DAW you could record and leave it raw or you could add effects.
