What are your favorite fictional toxins?
For those who don’t understand what I am talking about, look here.
I don’t know why, but my personal, all-time-favorite one is the Fear gas (owned by Scarecrow from Batman).
It has a big impact on me ever since I first saw it. It’s the toxin that inspired many of the killing methods featuring in some of my short detective stories. Sound like I’m a sick person right? Sorry :(
Do you have any favorite fictional toxins?
So sorry for such a sick question :(

“Suck gas, evil-doer!”
I loved Darkwing duck.
Purple Dibungi. My go-to explanation for anything that ails.
Kurt Vonnegut’s Ice Nine is the creepiest stuff I ever read about.
Dip from Who Framed Roger Rabit
Captain Trips from Stephen King’s classic “The Stand.”
Laughing Gas is my favorite by far. Other honorable mentions would be Chemical X, Venom, Tiberium, T-Virus and Soma if you could consider that last one a toxin.
Do nanites count? “Cutters” are nasty. They’re very tiny little things that just fly apart and tear through your capillaries. Having one’s entire circulatory system just get shredded is an effective means of ending then.
Laes is a nice non-lethal alternative. Instant knockout, and no amount of mind-reading will ever undo that amnesia and get you memories of the preceding hour or two.
