Can you turn off incoming calls while using iPhone 5s as a hotspot?

Asked by SquirrelEStuff (10012points) December 30th, 2013

I have an iPhone 5s on Verizon and use my unlimited 4g data plan as a hotspot.
Is it possible to stop incoming calls from coming in while using as hotspot? For the most part, it is not a problem, but if on a webinar or conference call, I do not want to drop the webinar of conf. call.
Thanks in advance!

I am not absolutely sure it would work, but you could try putting it into “Do Not Disturb” mode – that’s the crescent moon icon in the Control Center. It prevents calls from coming in except from people you’ve designated as VIPs, but still allows full wireless data access.

That’s a great idea! I’ll give it a shot tomorrow.
Thanks!

@SquirrelEStuff: I hope it works! I use it when I’m at work, so that I don’t get any interruptions – it’s one of my favorite iOS features.
