What's your favorite line from Lynch's Dune?
I love, “My name is a killing word.”

“When you see the Baron remember the tooth! The tooooooth!”
Guess I should see it again. Did you know Alejandro Jodorowsky was supposed to make that? I can only imagine how insane that would be.
“It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.”
from the Mentat Mantra
Any my favorite variation of this:
“It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed,
the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.”
I just always got a kick out of how the one guy says “he shall be known as Paul Muad Dibuhh.” Just the way he adds to the end the little “uh” cracks me up. I often find myself saying that line and giggling a bit.
“Put the pick in there, Pete. And turn it ‘round, real neat.”
Also, @stevenb- “Shaaaai-Huuluuu-duh.” One of my favorite movies.
I would have loved to have seen the original 4.5-hour version Lynch was supposed to make. Coolness.
He is the kwatzat sadaratch, then it rains, great movie
I will always remember the line
“Put your hand in the box”
“What’s in the box?”
“Pain!!!”
My immediate response to that every time i hear it is “Screw you! You put your hand in the box.” I think Paul Atreides was made of tougher stuff than I.
This was the weirdest movie I ever saw. My husband loved it and watched it over and over, which means that I watched it over and over, too, whether I wanted to or not. I don’t remember much, except worms and spice and sand and thumpers to distract the worms. I do remember the box of pain, and a guy covered with boils that floated around in the air (???)
