What would be the outcome if the 1963 Superbowl winners, the Bears, played against the 2013 Super Bowl champs, the Ravens?
Just use your imagination. The 63 Bears come forward in time with all of their players and their training and play the 2013 Ravens, or the Ravens go back in time, with all of their players and their modern day training.

I don’t know anything about football.
But I have seen some good Alfred Hitchcock movies.
I think it would be a decent fight.
Da Bears?!! Let’s watch Brian’s Song. They have it on Netflix. Awesome movie! You should read I Am Third, by Gale Sayers. Awesome autobiography.
OK, but back to my question. Modern football training is so very different in so many ways, including computerization. Would that be relevant in my pretend game?
Modern day NFL players are bigger, stronger, and faster than their 1963 counterparts. Football has better year round conditioning, better play strategy, and much better steroids and performance enhancing treatments.
The worst modern day NFL team would crush a team from 1963.
What @zenvelo said @livelughlove21.
But are they really ‘bigger’? How could they be physically bigger?
I still don’t get the connection to the film and autobiography you mentioned, @Dutchess_III.
I’m not even an NFL fan. I’m just from Chicago and I like to say “daaaaa Bears!”
If you’re so convinced the winners would obviously be the Ravens, why ask the question?
Yeah, they probably are bigger. Like @zenvelo said, steroids.
I guess I was hoping for more details about how the game has changed.
OK, Brian’s song is about Brian Piccolo and Gayle Sayers. “I Am Third” is Gayle Sayer’s autobiography.
Are those shows’ outcomes to preplanned by the industry, like wrestling?
to not
What I am saying is, who wins and who loses is already decided before the game starts, and the players are just actors.
@ragingloli This is American football, not Premier League or FA. None of that goalie diving to the left so the striker can put it by the goalie’s right. We don’t rehearse it like the Brits do.
No, I don’t think so. No one could plan to be as bad as the Chiefs have been since 1970, except for this year!
@zenvelo
American “football”, yes, and with everything american, it is full of fakery and fixing to maximise profits.
@Dutchess_III I had to Google both names just to find out who they were. That’s what I meant by saying I didn’t understand the connection – I didn’t recognize the names. As I said, I’m not a fan of pro football.
Oh my god. You don’t know who Gayle Sayers is. I feel so old.
Well, check out “Brian’s Song.” It’s an old movie but it’s a really good one. Billy D Williams plays Gayle Sayers.
@Dutchess_III My mother was born the year he started playing for the Bears. Still, if I was an NFL fan, I’m sure I’d know who he was – being a super famous hall-of-famer and all.
@zenvelo
Those are the actions of singular players.
Handegg is fixed at the highest level.
Da Bears (my home team!) indeed became NFL champs in December 1963—back in Mike Ditka’s playing days with Chicago. The first Super Bowl, however, wasn’t played until January 1967. Before that they just called it the championship game.
Well, thank you for that bit of info! I guess I saw the first Superbowl ever! I would have been 9.
The Ravens would kick the Bears asses.
Most of the Bears players are in their late 70’s or 80’s. It isn’t fair.
@ragingloli Handegg is fixed by refs making calls (or noncalls) which are obviously in favor of the team they would rather win. In other words, it’s fixed exactly the same as football; the ref has an effect on the game, but it is still up to the favored team to make the big plays to win.
The Ravens would decimate the Bears based on injuries caused alone. However, quite a few Ravens players would have their heads rung by Bears players slapping them in the ear.
