This new blog for Jelly was linked on Gawker and Valleywag – a new social networking mobile app to ask your friends questions!

That’s so clever! I wish I had a smartphone to use it.
Information is becoming more and more accessible.
Well, Ben was instrumental in developing it with a founder of Twitter. I don’t think it is owned by Twitter.
It runs only on Android devices, not on computers. It is automatically links to twitter and Facebook. To me that means less privacy and less intimacy than we enjoy on Fluther.com
Not compatibe with my device? I have a tablet running the latest version of android. I think they have some work to do…
I wish that fluther was a social network that it connected with!
I downloaded it and I also wish you could invite friends through Facebook.
I’ll stick with Fluther which is “social” enough for me thankyouverymuch.
Yes — and lovely penguins too.
Penguins who have freshly baked brownies. Just sayin’
@downtide – I’m thinking the it’s more likely because you are not in the USA than anything else with the software.
@Dr_Lawrence – The app is also available on iOS, not just Android.
@hearkat I’m in the US, and it’s also claiming to be not compatible with my device.
I was going to install it on my tablet but I got a security warning?
Sounds like the launch is going well. ~
Maybe there’s a government web site they can fix.
Oh well, Ben, for all our bitching we just hope you still love your first child as much as we still do!!
And good luck with the new ventures (all of them)!
@Seek_Kolinahr: Weird. My fiancé has the S4 running Android 4.3 and he was able to download it. I was just guessing it was an international thing based on experiences friends have had with other Apps.
My phone is a little older – an HTC Evo 3d, and it’s running Ice Cream Sandwich. Maybe Jelly is only for Jellybean and later. I don’t know. I haven’t gotten a response from Jelly HQ through email or Twitter yet. (though, other people have…)
@Seek_Kolinahr Maybe Jelly would feel more comfortable if it were running Peanut Butter Sandwich?
<runs and hides>
What’s with Ben’s obsession with jellyfish. I mean, seriously…
I think it’s a pretty cool idea, but not anything that’s really new. You can get the same results on Fluther, Twitter, or even Facebook. And it would only be useful to people with a large amount of people on their social network.
The Daily Beast is calling it one of this week’s Hot Apps .
