Thank you – and to you.
I let go of a big piece of my past on January 1st and I felt I did it in a healthy way for me so I am proud of myself. Am working through another big chunk of stuff but feeling more powerful much of the time.
I went up to Portland to go to the dentist yesterday. I stayed with my sister and her twins while I was there. It was the first time I had seen any of them in three years. That was a good start.
I’ve had two snow days so that’s been awesome. I’ve been pretty happy with things so far and am ready to get back to work tomorrow. I have a meeting on Monday so I need to get back so I can do a small project I was tasked with. I also have a few hobby/personal projects I’m working on for early spring.
My husband started a new job! And he really loves it, and they’ve already changed him from simple hourly work to percentage pay, which pays considerably better. We should be able to move out of this awful house within six months or so, if not sooner.
I’ve been sick since Christmas with a pretty crappy cold and now a tooth abscess, but I’m on antibiotics and starting to feel better. Just can’t shake this stupid cough.
Starting the new year as a homeschooling parent. I’m loving it already. We took December off, more or less. We still did school-ish stuff, but now I’m actually doing my part and documenting all of it. Yay, paperwork!
Looking forward to a much better 2014.
2013 was a pretty awesome year for me, especially the last half of it, so I’m hoping for more of the same in 2014.
I started a new job, I love it, and I’m doing very well so far (or so I’m told).
In other news, being a career woman is tough.
I also chopped all my hair off yesterday. Well, I went from having hair 3 inches below my shoulder to 2–3 inches above. Not an accomplishment, but a big adjustment for me!
I hope to continue to do well in the professional realm and possibly start trying for our first baby around December.
I have walked several miles 11 out of the last 14 days, I am pleased with this little renewed discipline.
I am happy I received an invitation for a get together today with some newer friends, otherwise the only real negative to date is I spilled a bottle of water all over some important documents in my car today. They are so messed up. ^&$%^*#!!!.
