We’re on our way out the deep-freeze. 27˚ F today seemed positively balmy.
I’m kind of enjoying the challenge of driving in it, but my toes and fingers are tired of being cold all the time. I got home last night and put on thick sweats with hoodie and both gloves to warm up…lol
And my dogs are going stir crazy because I won’t walk them, getting pretty wild.
I hate it. I want Florida back.
Yeah, I’m pretty chilly. ‘Tis the season.
The other night was pretty mean. It went from the mid 20“s to -11F in about 90 minutes. The house handles it pretty well. And we have a couple of portable electric heaters in addition to the built in ones and the furnace. The birds are going through food like crazy. Like a block of suet in 24 hours. If I don’t go broke feeding them we’ll all get through this okay.
I am lucky enough to live in a fairly mild area. I have my doors and windows open most of the afternoon, but I have to close them when the sun goes down. If I get chilly before that, I put on my sweatshirt and slippers. (I don’t wear shoes.)
No – it’s about 60 degrees outside and is supposed to be pushing 80 by the weekend. At least I was able to turn the heat off. Tomorrow I can probably open the windows.
Freezing. My space heater melted the on button on my computer.
It’s lovely here. Low 60s with gentle winds. We’re expected to be back in the 80s by Monday though.
It’s too damn cold in South Carolina for my liking! I want my flip-flops back!!
Mild here, low 60’s, sunny, pretty clouds haha went for a walk with a friend and had a picnic on the bike trail.
We need RAIN and SNOW out west in a serious way, the driest year in 25 years right now.
Here in southern Alberta we have been enjoying mild temperatures (above freezing) which is pretty special in January. Central and Eastern Canada and large parts of the USA have had much worse weather. I am grateful and will not complain.
