I remember him better as a frequent guest actor on TV, dince I came to loath ”Gilligan”. From the ”Twilight Zone” to ”Newhart” he seemed a better actor that what he was ever given credit for.
RIP, ‘The Professor’, Russell Johnson. Ginger and MaryAnn are the only members yet to join the rest of the cast.

Thank you for all the laughs and all the kooky inventions with coconuts.
What the…..?!!!
@ibstubro Are you some kind of dark messenger tonight or what? lol
Awwww…...Professor!
I have about 4 Gilligans Island DVDs. I loved that show too.
@talljasperman He and Ginger so should have hooked up.
@Coloma I cannot prevent them dropping like…er…well, socks. They die, I try to make note, give people a chance to mark the death or post a tribute to a celebrity that might have made a difference in their life.
Don’t tell anybody, but I kind of had it for the professor. He might be the reason I have a thing for attractive brainy guys.
@Jonesn4burgers Are you saying you actually have had the opportunity to meet attractive and brainy guys? Where are you hiding them, share would you! lol
I liked the professor too but really, the Howells were so funny. They really made the show.
He was one of my first crushes!
