In the evening, either with your dinner or when you’re just hanging out at home, what do you drink? Wine, beer, soda, water, juice, ice tea, something else?
I drink Diet Coke or hot tea (tea with milk and artificial sweetener). I rarely drink water. I should but I don’t.

Nearly every day (at least, days that I’m not traveling) I drink about a gallon of unsweetened iced tea mixed with cranberry juice in about a 3:1 mix, plus lemon.
@CWOTUS A glass or two max of sweet iced tea. If it’s real cold out I may do hot tea.
I always have a glass of wine at dinner. Rest of the time, water.
Hot tea in the winter. Iced tea in the summer.
I have a beer around dinner time, or a glass of wine. Just one.
Usually water. At times (maybe 2 days out of 7) I have a hot cocoa or a caffeine free Coke in addition to having some water. Once every couple of weeks I have a hot or iced tea, which is also decaf.
Tea mostly (hot, with no milk). Occasionally coffee but I prefer tea. And now and again I’ll have a bottle of beer.
Usually water, sometimes wine.
I switch between Dew and water. I stopped drinking water for a long time because we moved a lot, and each new water source would argue with my system. I switched to drinking distilled water, and that made things okay. Once in a while I treat myself to one of my special teas, in my Japanese tea set.
I used to drink Diet soda but the caffine gets to me now so I can’t drink it after 3:30 or so. I do have diet ginger ale every now and then. If I’m being good I’ll put a couple of drops of lemon or peppermint oil in a glass of water.
A cup of Earl Grey tea as soon as I get home, usually a little wine with dinner, then an herbal tea at bed time.
I used to drink soda but for the past few years I’ve gotten into the habit of drinking mainly plain water or fizzy water made with my SodaStream machine.
Water and name brand Cola.
Iced Chai tea mostly. Water. Occasional Pepsi. NO artificial sweetener of any kind. I don’t allow it in my house or in my body. I only have coffee x 1–2 cups in the morning.
Diet pop (soda) without caffeine.
Bottled water (from the tap, usually, refilled and chilled).
Wine has a tendency to make me ‘whine’ the _next day.
Alcohol and the above beverages; hard liquor.
Beer bloats me beyond the point of enjoyment.
Ice water; sometimes I add a packet of EmergenC or a splash of low-sodium V-8 or some locally pressed cider.
I usually meet up with Mike Tython, and together we dwink the blood of yo CHILDWIN!
Sparkling mineral water. Usually San Pelligrino, or Arrowhead, or Voss. Once in a while Perrier.
Filtered water from my water cooler or diet ginger ale.
I like coconut water and chocolate soy milk 1:1 dilution in non-fat milk.
Water, Coffee, hot chocolate, Flavored milk and during summer seasons Laban (cool yoghurt drink) .
Either a very quality birch beer or a very quality German wheat beer. When it’s real cold I like to go for hot chocolate.
Coffee every day.
Hot tea most days,
Usually some kind of soda, a glass or so a day.
If I’m in the mood for it, a quick gin and tonic or a bottle of decent beer if there’s any to be had.
I drink coffee in the morning, water all day, maybe a diet pepsi sometimes, more water all evening. Infact, I drink so much water I have to go pee about every 25 minutes and get up 2–3 times a night. I have bathrooms mapped out all over town. I have very nice skin, very healthy kidneys and a very hydrated brain.
Go Coloma! literally, excuse me, have to go before bed now. haha
Oh, I drink beer too but not much in the winter. Goose Island please. :-)
Thanks, @rojo. I’ve not revisited Loudon Wainwright III in years. What a joy.
:)
I usually end the day with a hot cup of tea. Red Rose or Irish Breakfast
I’ve got a nasty sinus headache today, so I think I’m going to drink 2 mojitos and chase them with 3 ibuprofen (worked last time).
@Juels If you take a hot shower or steam yourself it may help reduce that sinus headache, I get them often.
@KNOWITALL Thanks. Unfortunately, I get them a lot too. I’ve already tried the steam shower this morning. Mine are always weather related. Looking at the crappy weather today, maybe I should swap the mojitos for a hot toddy.
@Juels Humidifiers (or water on a stove) helps a lot, too. I hate hot toddys, they were my gpa’s cure-all and just thinking about them makes me gag…lol
I second @KNOWITALL‘s humidifier suggestion. A huge stockpot of water simmering on the stove with a dash of vanilla or some other smell-good stuff is the best.
Water or tea. If I need to stay up all night I drink coffee but somehow it makes me sleepy.
Fresh squeezed fruit juices, the more exotic the better. I experiment a lot with what I find on my hikes: mangos, clementines, bananas, papayas, but mostly fresh water. I hate beer and hard liquor makes me sick in this warm climate. Every once in a blue moon I’ll have what approximates a cola down here: Jolly Cola, a Cuban product. Otherwise, no sodas at all. They don’t quench my thirst.
Iced tea or 100% fruit juice (cranberry/grape, orange, pineapple) and every so often I will have lemonade.
A diet Coke or two during the day along with lots of water. Beer in the evening.
Coffee. Tea, also. Especially when it’s really cold outside.
I’m not going to write about beer, it would take forever
You drink coffee and tea in the evenings? Doesn’t that mess with your sleep schedule @bluish?
I know my wife won’t touch anything caffeinated after 7pm, says it interferes with her sleep. Me, I have never had a problem with it.

Milo here; Toilet bowl water (from Gail’s well and very delicious).
That depends on my mood, it’s either Herbal tea or Water… juices i don’t tend to drink in the evening when i do it’s Freshly squeezed in the morning with breakfast, I’m a bit of a health and fitness girl so i watch what eat and drink, but yep i drink a lot of water, btw you should try to drink water your body needs it, to stay healthy, i’m afraid soda’s pops, sweet teas do not make up for drinking water the body needs to be hydrated and Water is the best way to do that, but each to their own.
Milo, is that water from the magical never empty well?
Milo here; Only when the power goes out, and then I have the stream in the woods as a tasty alternative.
Tequilla on the rocks for the scrabble game.
