Take a remedial English class?
PupnTaco- Dammit! You beat me to the punch!
Get out of the house. You can hike, bike, swim, skate, etc. Make a reading list, then go to the library and check out the books. Catch up on movies you have always wanted to see. Take a class in something totally outside your area of expertise, like flower arrangement or automotive 101. Like the song says, “if your bored then you’re boring”. not to be rude
@ Chuck: gotta be quick on the trigger when late-night Fluthering ;)
Boredom is the state of not wanting to do what you have to do and not being able to do what you really want to. I think I got that off of a fortune cookie.
Not sure what this has to do with the question, but I’m bored, so who cares.
@ xyzzy – i like that quote :)
i would do stuff out side the only thing is i live in Texas and it is around 100 degrees during the day so going out side is not that fun and i have been watching movies till my eyes are bleeding
and i tend to have good grammer when it is not 1 in the morning
Masturbate.
Or my personal favorite, hanging out in emergency rooms on the weekend.
If you have a bead store in your area, take a few beading classes (or wirework). They are a lot of fun, you learn something new and come out with a spectacular new piece of jewelry.
Be careful because it is VERY addicting!
Or, get a job to earn some money of your own. If you don’t need cash, volunteer to be a big brother or sister, work w. the elderly (who always need help with chores and love company). Doing good for other people or the planet is useful and extremely unboring.
Only boring people are bored. Make yourself interesting and you won’t be bored.
Invite friends over. Play card games. Build something: a piece of furniture, a dog house. Get together with some friends and create an event to raise money for a charity. Talk to people with family members in Irag or Afghanistan and ask what the soldiers need from home that they can’t get, and then raise money and get people to help send a bunch of the stuff over.
Volunteer for a political campaign. Ask a member of the opposite sex out on a date.
