Is it possible to be allergic to vanilla milk (NSFW)

Asked by talljasperman (21919points) February 1st, 2014

Some times I get sick and I wonder if it is the flavored milk… My puke changes to yellow when drinking Milk to Go Vanilla instead of normal milk that comes out white.

It is possible to be allergic to anything.

@jca I was going to say the same thing

Check and see if it’s natural vanilla. some very odd things are used to make artificial vanilla flavoring, some of which I could imagine one might be allergic to.

@MadMadMax Well that explains the yellow colour.

You never know what else is in there.

It’s likely to be food allergy. Inorder to eliminate the item which is causing the irritation, the body will trigger an immune response. This will cause quick and forceful vomiting. Check with a gastric specialist.

If your puke changes to “yellow when drinking Milk to Go Vanilla instead of normal milk”, then the implication would be that you body (bile) is processing Milk to Go Vanilla but not milk.

Why does the color of the puke cause more concern than the fact that you’re vomiting often enough to notice a pattern.

Vomiting isn’t normal when drinking unflavored milk or vanilla milk.

Is this a real question?

If you get sick after eating something, the easy solution is to stop drinking or eating that substance. Apparently, something about that food does not agree with your body.

How did I fall into that trap, @funkdaddy?

So, @talljasperman, are you vomiting everything up, and creating a color chart? My friend Bill Sherwin can help.
