A disabled relative just wrote and published a children’s book, and was wondering how you go about to get the public interested in reading it, for their children?

It is available in Ebook and paper form.
Send a free copy to every media outlet in your area, along with a one-sheet about highlights, the author being local, etc…
An old friend of mine is an author and illustrator of picture books for children. He does a lot of school, library, and children’s book store appearances. If your relative’s book has been published, their publisher should be helping them with promotional contacts and events.
