I have become very spiritual and am on a quest for awareness and knowledge. Enlightenment if you will. I have already attained the awareness of many truths.

You don’t actually have to wait thirty minutes after eating to swim.
The human male has the longest erect penis of any ape.
When no one’s around I have conversations and arguments with myself. Out loud.
AlenaD has never seen my penis.
There’s no manual for how to live.
Dave Chappelle does a great impression of Howard Dean.
yea, enlightened that you all are retards. Dammit, I’m surrounded by dumbasses….helpppp.
Mine was too, google that 5h!t!
@jegonza, I hear that you’re serious about wanting a real answer. I know you meant this to be open-ended. So I’d suggest finding a more specific question to ask.
I was tempted to be snarky/funny, and I see that some others were too.
A Five Billion US$ (to date) worldwide scam has run since the early 1980’s under Successive Governments of Nigeria.
Honestly, I wasn’t trying to be snarky or funny. You asked for things that not many people know. I’m currently reading “The Naked Ape” by Desmond Morris, in which he mentions this fact. I found it interesting enough that it stuck in my brain. I sat here trying to think of something not many people know and there you have it. Most people think gorillas have the biggest, but they’re wrong.
It’s not snark, it’s hard, cold science!
Ouch! Sounds like jegonza fell out of his/her “spiritual” zone.
1. Faith doesn’t always = truth.
2. Most people will reject truth if it crosses with their faith.
3. Just because “everyone” believes something is true doesn’t make it so.
4. Seek out real truths and make them part of your spiritual life.
5. Delirium is much wiser than she may let on.
6. Blood cults are warning signs of weak minds.
7. Most truths do not come easly. Often you must leave behind things you’ve held dear to move on.
8. Spiritual inlightment is a life long jouney.
@Upward: I’d say that delirium is definitely wiser than you because my guess is she’d know how to spell ‘enlightenment’.
@yannick, i kinda like inlightment… maybe it means something else, like an inner glow. let’s start using it all the time.
example: whoa, i ate a flashlight & now my inlightment is really strong!
Well “inlightenment” is not a word.
My suggestion to you would be to go through the questions and answers that catch your attention here on Fluther. Sometimes you’ll find good answers that give you insight that will allow you to grow in knowledge and wisdom, not in light of men=inlightenment, but most of the time you’ll find hilarious answers like JP’s, that’s why he’s so popular…...I could never be a comedian for that matter. JP will always beat me even on a cloudy day
In the entire history of the Universe, not once has anyone ever enlightened anyone else. I wouldn’t expect that to start happening on Fluther if I were you. Instead, start by getting rid of all of those “truths” you’ve become aware of.
Siddartha reached enlightenment.
But he was most definitely not enlightened by someone else.
That is true. The only way to reach “enlightenment” is by finding it within you.
There is a conspiracy going on in the world today. Politicians from around the world are planning a New World Order. This plan calls for one government for the entire world. We would have to revamp our currency, and reelect our leaders. Republican leaders, like John McCain, are hiding the NWO. Democrats don’t talk about it. Only one man speaks the complete truth about the New World Order. That man is Ron Paul.
I saw “aliens” listed in your topic tags – that’s all I needed to know.
Fleas actually have the largest penis in proportion to their size.
Harp: after Buddha reached enlightenment under the bodhi tree, didn’t he immediately go to his fellow ascetics and help them reach enlightenment as well?
jegonza89: Could you explain how you “attained the awareness of many truths” in response to this question I asked yesterday? I’m interested to hear your response.
Are we refering to Siddartha or Siddartha Gautama, creator of Buddhism?
“Happiness only real when shared.” -Alexander Supertramp
In a sense yes, phoenyx, but the help wasn’t in the form of giving them something they didn’t already have. He, as well as all of his predecessors and successors, knew that enlightenment is our natural element, that we’ve never for an instant been separate from it,
Siddhartha’s only accomplishment was in letting go of the delusions that had been blinding him to the enlightenment that was already there. His help to the ascetics consisted only of pointing out the nature of those blinding delusions and showing them a method of getting beyond them. Enlightenment is a process of loss, not of acquisition.
Your question does not reek of enlightenment despite your declaration (which also does not ring with true enlightenment) and thus you have reaped in answers what you have sown.
Coal is like candy to pigs.
@scamp. Is it really? That’s something I haven’t heard before.
- It takes years to build trust, but seconds to destroy it.
– It’s not what you have, but whom you have in your life that counts.
– It doesn’t matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
– In life, you have to be willing to make sacrifices.
– Learn from your mistake, preferably the first time, but if not the first then the second, or third, or fourth..
– Lots of people will ride with you in a limo. Try to find the people who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.
Very philisophical, Allie. Great advice.
@Eambos I am pretty sure. I can’t remember who told me this, but I thought them to be a reliable source at the time. I’d look it up, but I am at work. I’ll look for it later.
edit here it is! I found it!
That’s really interesting!
snapple isn’t always right.
Righteous does not mean right.
Life can be trusted.

It is not necessary to tell everyone about your religion.
It is better to remain silent and be thought foolish, than to speak and remove all doubt.
“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.” —Albert Einstein
Spending simple times with those you love will be your favorite memories in life.
@gooch Truer words were never spoken!
When you die, your things will not remember you, but your friends will.
There are two ways to be happier, buy more, or want less. The wise person chooses the latter.
We are living in the “matrix” where our reality is not reality at all. Therefore, don’t sweat the small stuff (daily existence) but find your higher calling in life and go for it! There is no ceiling. We create it in our minds.
